What's A Mulberry Bish?

Well, A Mulberry Bish is actually a Mulberry Bush when you have jet lag and are trying to find your hotel late at night in a strange town in a different state...
What does this have to do with this blog? "Here We Go 'Round......" Is what comes to mind when I see the Super Coach Shuffle going on in the NFL right now. I have some arguments about some of these decisions. First of all, firing Mike Sherman as Packers' head coach because they had a bad year. Was it mutual? We'll probably never know, but lets not forget how many winning seasons he had as head coach. Hmmm, all of them but this year. They replace him with... Oh, damn... What's his name.... Let me google it real quick... OH YEAH, Mike McCarthy. That's the offensive coordinator for the 49ers, who had such a terrific year, for those of you who don't know. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? What about Jim Haslett being canned by the Saints? Sure, they haven't been a good team for a bit, but this year??? Come on, what the hell do you expect when you're playing your "home games" in 5 other cities because a hurricane destroyed your own? The poor guy probably rarely saw his family all season, and he gets shit canned for a bad year. Bad timing in my opinion. So, they replace him with Sean Payton, ex-asst head coach of the Cowboys. OK, a little better, but still... Here are 2 teams who are trying to Gruden themselves. Oh wait.. There's more, but on a brighter side: Detroit loses Steve Mariucci (who the hell blames him?) and replaces him with Rod Marinelli. Not bad. Marinelli coached the Bucs' defensive line for 10 years. SUCKS FOR THE BUCS, but I bet the Lions get flipped around pretty quick. Good move Lions. Kansas City loses Dick Vermeil to retirement, and they replace him with NY Jets ex Herm Edwards. Another good move in my opinion. Mike Tice gets canned by the Vikings ONE HOUR after their last loss. Who in the world would want to come in to those shoes? Tice was not a bad coach! He's quite remarkable, however, his whole staff needed some work. Well, screw that, lets fire the head guy and hire ol' whets his name from that Pennsylvania team.... Brad Childress. At least he has some experience with a good team (I hate saying that, it makes my gnads hurt). When the Jets lost Herm Edwards, they found Eric Mangini. Why not??? He's almost 30, he'll be OK! Oh wait, that's the Texas Rangers GM... Seriously, the Pats ex coordinator is now the youngest head coach in the NFL, booting my boy Gruden out of that slot. Oh well. Good luck to you Jets, at least you didn't get him from the 49ers also. St. Louis Rams fire their head coach as well. Yeah, why not? Who needs a stroke risky coach right? BULLS**T. That was a chicken shit thing for the Rams to do, but I think it's a great thing for Mike Martz. Who wont last long in the market, in fact, I am surprised he hasn't ended up somewhere yet. The Rams replace him with ex Dolphin coordinator of offensive ability Scott Linehan. OK, good luck to you Rams (pppphhhh). That leaves us with three teams without a head coach: The Texans who fired Dom Capers (stupid), The Bills who fired Mike Mularky (smart), and the Raiders who fire Norv Turner (REAL SMART!). Now, lets name the three coaches who are good enough to head coach who have not been picked up: Mike Sherman, Mike Martz and Mike Tice. Coincidence? Dick Seargent? Seargent York? Dick York? MIKE TRICE? OK, any guesses if and where these three will end up? I call Sherman going to Buffalo, Tice going to Houston and Martz going to Oakland. I am probably way off, but that's what I would love to see. Well, I leave you with three words of wisdom:

WE SHALL SEE
